Hartley Homestead Boutique Bed & Breakfast

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful homestead. The property is charming and well-maintained, offering a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable—large and perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The location was ideal, with easy access to the main historical street while still offering a peaceful, serene environment. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious, hot, and freshly cooked, paired with a barista coffee that was the perfect start to the day. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with great hospitality.

Hartley Homestead is a quiet, comfortable place to stay. Euan is very friendly and helpful. The bed was so comfortable, it was like sleeping on a cloud! We enjoyed the breakfasts and sitting in the backyard area in the afternoons. The location is a great base if you are cycling in the area. We charged our e-bikes easily outside the garage and it was very safe having the bikes in the yard. The quail family wandering around the yard was a bonus to watch.

Evan is a great host. Location excellent in a quiet Clyde street. Beautiful setting with well looked after gardens. Plenty of parking space. Room a great size, comfortable and cosy. Breakfast delicious - very fancy egg on toast with yummy relish and baked tomatoes. Extra toast and home made apricot/wild thyme jam. Coffee good too. We really liked the shared breakfast with other guests too.

We had such a fabulous stay, the bed was sooooooo comfy and the retreat had everything we needed. The cooked breakfast was superb, and Euan was an excellent host. To top it all off the location couldn’t have been better, walking distance to everything in Clyde. We will be back!
